If you have read the information about the De-Odor Rod on (How Does It Work) page. You will see that the De-Odor Rod Desiccant works on the same principle “IONIC ACTION”. The Non-Toxic minerals Envirolite literally attracts and absorbs the moisture that accumulates in a lock-tight vault that will cause rusting and metal corrosion to your pistols, long guns and the break down of any other valuable material you may store in the safe. The De-Odor Rod Desiccant is highly recommended for use in Black Powder storage containers and in the Evidence Rooms to help maintain a dryer atmosphere.
Unlike other desiccants, absorbing gels and electrical heating devises, the De-Odor Rod Desiccant has the unique ability to be easily recharged by sunshine once every two months. The De-Odor Rod Desiccant uses no mechanical elements and needs no electricity to operate.

To whom it may concern:
I purchased several of your De-Ododr Rod Desiccants
and I have no rust problems in my gun safe at all now. Prior to that time, even though I used the silic-gel product, I still had frequent rust problems.
Besides not haveing humidity problems, the rods are easy to use and recharge. There is no odor and putting them in the sunlight to recharge is easy and quick.
I’m glad I purchased them and am very satisfied with the results.
